e-Books and Other Recommended Links & Videos

On this House of Ra web page, we have included a list of links as a brief overview for a few of the world’s great wisdom traditions of spirituality, religion, philosophy and the sacred ordeal of spiritual practice of Self‑ and God-Realization.

We will be adding more links over time with the hope that such exposure will help you to cultivate religious tolerance and a deeper sense (and understanding) of the “oneness” of truth, however differently it has been expressed in the great spiritual traditions of the world (and different Sages), since time immemorial.

Please accept this effort as a small gift (prashad) and a token of our heart-felt appreciation and gratitude for you taking the time to visit us online.

With my Prayers and best wishes,

Bhagwan Ra Afrika

"Having set forth the means by which the Path is to be travelled, namely, the Sacred Fire, the Teacher goes on to explain the nature of the Path itself, that Path which starts from the heart of the disciple and of which it has been said “Thou canst not travel on the Path before thou hast become that Path itself.

The teaching that follows is for him who knows the Fire; for others, though they may seem to understand it, it will be of little avail; they will remain stuck fast in the bog of intellectual conceptions and no actual travelling, no transmutation, will take place.

Subject to that reservation, the exposition is clear and simple enough. It is, however, as if one said wash the rice, place it in a pot and boil it till it is cooked—very simple, provided the would-be cook knows how to light the fire, but not much use if he does not.

In the first place the ancient symbol of the chariot is brought forward as representing the entire psychophysical being that we call man. The body itself is said to be the chariot drawn by the horses of the senses. Those horses are controlled by the reins of manas held in the hands of buddhi the Driver. The Atman itself is the Lord of the Chariot, he who sits quietly within it. The world of sense-objects is of course the road on which the chariot travels..."
